Review and evaluation of the 8 CVS organisations and Volunteer Centres across Warwickshire, leading to a proposal to merge to form Warwickshire Community & Voluntary Action, and the development of a fully-costed Business Plan, including recommendations around governance arrangements. Development and improvement programme for Somerset's ChangeUp consortium of 11 organisations, including facilitation workshops around improving collaboration, consultation with key stakeholders and proposals to improve governance. The project involved developing a 5 year development strategy and 3 year business plan, together with a successful £280k funding proposal to develop new services.
Evaluation of the Business Advice Network coordinated by RISE, the infrastructure body for social enterprises in the South West. Also delivered a presentation to the March 2009 Business Advice Network on "Marketing in a Recession".
Interim management of the Healthlinks charity which provided interpretation services in a number of primary care and hospital environments. The project involved managing the transfer of the charity into Bristol Primary Care Trust as well as researching and writing a Development Plan outlining a number of strategic options for the Healthlinks service.
Evaluation of a pilot 'Salt Awareness' project managed by a partnership of Bristol PCT and the Food Standards Agency. The pilot project trained peer educators to inform members of minority and ethnic communities about salt and health. This evaluation was undertaken in conjunction with Bridge Consulting Partners

A feasibility study was undertaken to identify projects and services in the Community at Heart programme (Bristol's £50 million New Deal for Communities regeneration initiative) which could become sustainable social enterprises once NDC funded ended.
The feasibility study was followed by a successful £100,000 funding bid to provide business support and advice from Social Enterprise Works to the identified projects and services to help them become financially sustainable organisations.
